Stabilised ascorbic acid in an anhydrous base, which is the whole trick: with no water in the formula the vitamin C is not racing to oxidise in the bottle, so it holds up on a shelf without refrigeration or a countdown. It is an oil-like essence with a distinct citrus scent, and at eighteen dollars it is the cheapest vitamin C here we would call credible.
